The
History of Unique
|
|
|
In
February of 1994, Jill Fishella founded Unique. Jill began the company
as Unique Gift Baskets. In July of 1994, Jill and her husband Frank,
attended a Basket Convention in Las Vegas where the couple learned about
Balloon Decorating. While Jill was taking classes on Gift Baskets,
Frank decided to take a few classes on Balloon Decorating. After
returning home, the couple decided to incorporate Balloon Decorating with
the Baskets.
In July of 1994, Jill and Frank began Unique Gift Baskets and Balloons. By 1998, the Balloon business began to take off and it was at this time that Jill decided to give up the Gift Baskets and focus on the Balloon Decorating. Jill continues to create Gift Baskets by request only! In May of 1999, Frank retired from his job to devote his time to helping Jill push the Balloon business. By May of 1999, the couple changed the company's name again; Unique Balloon Decorating. The couple sucessfully runs their business from their home in Willowbrook, Illinois. |

Not
only does the couple own Unique Balloon Decorating; Jill has a small business
of her own on the side, JCF Word Processing.
If that isn't enough, both Jill and Frank are Independent Distributors for a Health and Wellness Company, Starlight International. While Jill is main running the business from the house, Frank is the decorator as well as the Office Manager of Unique. Frank is also a Unique Character. Frank has done Balloon Twisting for several years at Kids' Functions, such as The Crusin 66 Children's section as well as Kids' parties and Family functions. Not only does Frank create dogs, swans and other simple animals, but he uses his creativity to create truly Unique creations for each child. |

After attending
several Balloon Conventions over the years, Jill and Frank have become
Specialists in the Balloon field. The couple has used their talent
to create from Balloons. Unique's specialty Balloons are our Yard
Creations, where Frank comes to your home, and places Numbers, Baby
creations, Graduates, Animals and more outside for your neighbors to
see. These creations stand about 7 feet tall and come in any color
you prefer. The life of most creations, depending on the weather
conditions are 5-7 days. |
